Since the Centre is located bordering Lunugamvehera National Park, a popular destination for any nature lover, one can observe the richness of wildlife treasures. It also serves as a migration corridor for elephants between Yala National Park and Udawalawa National Park.
Being about 40 minutes’ drive away from the Centre, Udawalawe National Park serves as a sanctuary for displaced wildlife by the Udawalawe reservoir. The Walawe river runs through the park making the atmosphere charming and peaceful while adding beauty to the sanctuary. Udawalawe Park is popular among nature lovers who want to witness true Sri Lankan natural treasures.
